On September 20th, 2025, a team composed of five experts conducted an on-spot harvest yield measurement of the high oleic acid content peanut demonstration project in Julu County, Xingtai City.

On May 10th, the new high oleic acid peanut variety ‘Jihua 572’ was planted on the demonstration plot. Ridging and film mulching planting mode and the Beidou navigation system for autonomous driving was adopted to improve the sowing quality. During the key growth period, it applied the Yunleshou fungicide package and foliar fertilizer for disease and premature aging prevention and other green and efficient control technologies. After harvested by machine and converted with a dry weight conversion factor of 55%, the measured yield was 602.06 kg/mu.

‘Jihua 572’ is a new high-yield, high-oil content and high-oleic acid content peanut variety developed through sexual hybridization with ‘Kai 17-7’ as the female parent and ‘Jihua 16’ as the male parent by the Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops, HAAFS. It was registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in December 2020 (Variety registration number: GPD Peanut (2020)130137). This variety is of the common, erect and continuous flowering type, with sparse branches. Its growth period is 130 days. The seed kernel contains 55.05% oil, 21.4% protein, 81.5% oleic acid and 2.70% linoleic acid. It has outstanding features such as high yield, high oil content, wide adaptability, disease resistance and good salt tolerance. It is suitable for spring sowing and intercropping with wheat in peanut production areas such as Hebei, Henan, Shandong and Liaoning. It can also be planted in summer in areas on the south of central Hebei.

In 2025, ‘Jihua 572’ was selected in the National Directory of Excellent Crop Varieties for Promotion by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (special type of salt-tolerant peanut variety), the leading agricultural variety in Hebei Province, and the leading agricultural variety for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region.
The production and operation rights of ‘Jihua 572’ had been transferred to Hebei Chuangfuying Technology Co., LTD. After five years of development, ‘Jihua 572’ has become a main cultivated variety. Its planting areas cover all major peanut production areas in Hebei, and the area has been increasing year by year. By 2025, it has exceeded 200,000 mu. It is expected to become another high-yield, high-quality, and high-oleic acid content peanut variety in Hebei following ‘Jihua 18’, ‘Jihua 19’ and ‘Jihua 915’.
