The Institute of Agricultural Resources & Environment was founded in 1958, mainly carries out basic and applied research, and applied technology development in the fields of agricultural resources utilization, ecological environment protection, cultivated land quality and nutrient management, ecological improvement, microbial resource utilization, non-point source pollution prevention and control, etc. There are currently 47 employees, including 29 with senior professional titles, 3 experts enjoying provincial government special allowance, and 1 provincial outstanding young talent. Since its establishment, the institute has received over 120 achievements awards at all levels and published more than 420 academic papers. Over 100 national and provincial level projects have been conducted. The Institute has basically established a science and technology innovation transformation platform with complete functions, high openness, and covering the main agricultural ecological types in Hebei Province.
