In order to implement the requirements of the Institute on "building a research and development center for animal husbandry technology" and promote the construction of disciplines related to the integration of agriculture and animal husbandry, the Institute of Cereals and Oil Crops organized an academic report on the integration of agriculture and animal husbandry on March 5, 2024. Professor Luiz Gustavo Nussio from the College of Agriculture at the University of S ã o Paulo in Brazil, Dr. You Yongliang from the Institute of Drought Cultivation, Researcher Lv Peng from the Institute of Grain and Oil, Researcher Wang Kun from the Institute of Grain and Oil, and Dr. Guo Rui were invited to give academic presentations.

Professor Nussio currently serves as the President of the Brazilian side of the China Brazil Joint College of Agriculture, and has previously served as the Executive Chairman of the 17th International Silage Conference. He has made fruitful academic achievements in the field of animal nutrition research. Professor Nussio, titled "Brazil: sustainable livestock and agriculture integration in the tropics," introduced the evolution and characteristics of Brazil's main crops and forage, the production cycle of the beef cattle industry, tropical forage breeding in Brazil, the Brazilian government's management of grazing, integrated management of pastures and agriculture, and the Brazilian silage industry. Four internal reporters gave academic presentations on related fields such as forage, sorghum, silage corn, and dairy farming.

Through this academic conference, we have enhanced our understanding of agricultural and animal husbandry related disciplines, broadened the international perspective of researchers, and laid the foundation for expanding our academic cooperation channels in South American countries.
