On September 16, 2023, the Planting Industry Division of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hebei Province and the Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops of HAAFS invited experts from the Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Hebei Provincial Seed Station, and the Agricultural Technology Promotion Center of Daming County to form a production testing team and conducted on-site test at the demonstration field of high-oleic acid peanut variety Jihua 915 in Daming County. The actual harvest area was about 667 ㎡. The weight of fresh pods was 1216 kilograms, which was equivalent to about 668.8 kilograms of dry pods, setting a new record for peanut high yield in Hebei Province.

Seeds are the "chip" of agriculture. High oleic acid peanuts have much higher oleic acid content than ordinary peanuts. They have high nutritional value and long shelf life, making them an important breakthrough for improving quality and efficiency in the peanut industry. This year, the planting area of high oleic acid peanuts in Hebei Province has exceeded 133 thousand hectares, accounting for 57% of the province's peanut planting area. Daming County had a peanut area of 20 thousand hectares, of which nearly 13.3 thousand hectares are planted with high oleic acid peanuts, making it the largest county planting high oleic acid peanuts in Hebei.

Jihua 915 is a new peanut variety with high yield, high oil content, and high oleic acid content, released by the peanut breeding innovation team of the Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops through sexual hybridization. It has a growth period of 130 days when sown in spring and 120 days when sown in summer, with an oil content of 55.63%, a protein content of 21.2%, an oleic acid content of 81.9%, a linoleic acid content of 2.57%, and a ratio of oleic acid content to linoleic acid content of 31.9. It is moderately resistant to leaf spot and rust, and is suitable for spring sowing and wheat intercropping in peanut production areas such as Hebei, Henan, Shandong, and Liaoning. It is another new variety with high yield, high oil content, high oleic acid content, wide adaptability, and disease resistance, following the leading variety Jihua 19 recommended by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China. The production and operation rights of this variety have been transferred to Xinxin Seed Industry Co., Ltd of Daming County.
