On June 8, researcher ZHANG Mengchen and YANG Chunyan led an expert team from Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops to provide technical training in cultivation technology of soybean at Gaocheng Distinct.
 

At the meeting, researchers explained in detail the high-yield cultivation technology of soybean. It was emphasized that full stand of seedlings after the first sowing is the key of high yield. On the basis of full stand of seedlings, soybean can be planted in reasonable high density. At the flowering stage, the focus is on prevention and control of Riptortus pedestris(Fabricius) and stay-green disease. At the filling stage, the second watering can be conducted and foliar spray fertilizer can be applied. Technical means such as mixing the seed with seed coating agent and controlling excessive growth with chemical agent can also effectively improve the yield of soybean.

During the training, farmers and experts had face-to-face exchanges and discussions, and problems were highly targeted and solved.
