Medicinal Plant Germplasms Exchange, Evaluation and Utilization

China is rich in medicinal plants resources, with more than 11,000 medicinal plants species. Many medicinal plants have been proved by practices having definite and outstanding effects in treatment and prevention of diseases. Artemisinin is extracted from Artemisia annua and has unique curative effect on malaria; Salvia miltiorrhiza has antagonistic effect on hepatitis B virus (HBeAg) and anti HIV (HIV). Since the outbreak of covid-19, Chinese herbal medicine has played a prominent role in the prevention and control of pandemic of covid-19. Research has proved that honeysuckle soup, compound radix isatidis and so on have a significant effect on inhibiting COVID-19, and Lianhua Qingwen and other Chinese medicines have also played a significant role in the prevention and control of the pandemic.
The Medicinal Plant Research Center of Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences is the Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Medicinal Plant Technology Innovation", and has built the Hebei Medicinal Plant Germplasm Bank (- 18 ℃), which has collected and preserved more than 600 medicinal plant species with a total of 6000 copies; The research center has rich experience in the research of medicinal plants.
We are willing to carry out cooperative research on medicinal plants with foreign research institutions and scientists, to exchange medicinal plant germplasms, and to study the pharmacology, product processing and development, and the treatment and control of diseases by Chinese herbal medicine so as to benefit the health of local people.
