Dr. Li Hui from Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops was invited to attend China-Pakistan Seed Industry Cooperation and Exchange Forum

China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners. As the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has entered a new stage, the cooperation between the two countries in various fields has gradually deepened. The second session of China-Pakistan Agriculture and Industry Cooperation Information Platform Seminar,“China-Pakistan Seed Industry Cooperation and Exchange Forum”, was held online on March 18.

The forum focused on B2B Cooperation in China-Pakistan Seed Industry, especially on popular crops of great cooperation potential such as wheat, cotton, rice, sugarcane. It was aimed at providing an scientific and efficient platform for communication, cooperation and promotion for seed industry products and seed industry development technology of both sides, accelerating market segmentation of agricultural and industrial cooperation between China and Pakistan, assisting the seed industry of both countries to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.

Advised and introduced by International Cooperation Division of HAAFS, the forum invited Dr. Li Hui from Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops to attend and participate in the roundtable dialogue. Dr. Li Hui made a speech on basic information of wheat breeding and cultivation research, research team building, main direction of research and major achievements, and had in-depth communication with other participants.

Research progress and major achievement of wheat of HAAFS were displayed in this forum, current situation and demand in wheat research and industry of Pakistan were further understood, which laid the foundation of strengthening China-Pakistan agricultural communication and cooperation.
