August 21st of 2019, Li yan, the institute director, Jiang Chunzhi, the head of director office, Li Yurong, the adviser of oil crops innovation team and other three persons from the Institute of Cereal and Oil Crops arrived Daming County of Handan City and signed the joint S&T cooperation implementation agreement with the People’s Government of Daming County, Xinxin Seeds Co. Ltd of Daming, Yinong Seeds Co. Ltd of Daming, Jingxinquan Food Co. Ltd of Hebei and Jingfu Black Sesame Oil Company of Daming. According to the agreement, the three sides, e.g the institute, the government and the companies, will collaborate on the demonstration of new varieties and technologies of high oil and oleic acid peanuts.
The signing of the agreement will accelerate the trail, demonstration and transformation of the high oil and oleic acid new peanut varieties and the green and effective production technologies; the cooperation with Jingxinquan will work on the dynamics of processing and storage of peanut butter to provide technical support for the production and storage of high oleic acid peanut butter products; It will promote the renewal of peanut varieties in Daming, increase the local peoples’ income, help the poor farmers out of poverty and contribute to the revitalization of rural areas in Daming County.
Whereafter, Director Li Yan and his delegation visited the Xinxin Seeds Co. Ltd of Daming and Jingfu Black Sesame Oil Company of Daming, toured the demonstration and extension bases of high oleic acid peanut located in Qianliusheng Village, Shijiazhai Village and Chenggao Village. It is happy to see the high oleic acid variety Jihua 19 are growing soundly over about 5000 mu of fields.
