Institute of Biotechnology and Food Science completed the organization of Frontiers in Microbiology

On May 10, the special issue of Frontiers in Microbiology magazine, Postharvest Disease Management in Fruits and Vegetables: Recent Advances and Mechanics, organized by researcher GUAN Junfeng of the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Science as a guest editor, was successfully completed. Professor CHEN Zhihui from Dundee University of U.K. and Professor ZENG Kaifang from Southwest University of U.K. jointly participated in the organization and editing of the special issue, and Dr. ZHANG Yang from the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Science served as the assistant editor.


This special issue focuses on the current situation of food loss caused by post harvest diseases of fruits and vegetables, and focuses on new technologies and ideas that can reduce post harvest losses. Meanwhile, an editorial article titled 'Editorial: Postharvest Disease Management in Fruits and Vegetables: Recent Advances and Mechanisms' was published, which not only summarized the achievements of this special issue, but also provided new insights into the development of this field. Since the opening of the solicitation process on July 25, 2022, we have received responses and submissions from relevant field research experts from around the world. At present, the special issue articles have been downloaded more than 250 times, with nearly 4000 views of the special issue.
